How to Extend your Spouse/Partner Visa?

Upon completing your time under either a Fiancé Visa or a Spouse Visa or an Unmarried Partner visa, you can apply for an Extension of Leave. If you are under a Fiancé Visa, you can extend your stay by applying for a Spouse Visa. Alternatively, if you are under a Spouse Visa or a Partner Visa, you can also apply for extension of leave before the expiry of your visa.

You must meet the financial requirements, the language requirement, accommodation requirements and Genuine relationship test to qualify for an extension of leave in the UK.

If your visa is granted, you will have the right to work in the United Kingdom without any restrictions. However, during that period you cannot claim benefits, upon successfully completing 5 years under either a Spouse Visa or a Partner visa you will qualify for Indefinite Leave to Remain.
